Introduction to Clarizon
Clarizon has developed a breakthrough in ozone generation using a patented electrochemical catalyst.
Clarizon's systems are simpler and lower cost than the current main alternative, cold corona discharge, mainly because they do not require an oxygen generator.
This allows ozone to be capital cost competitive with UV radiation water treatment for the first time.
Ozone is used in a wide range of applications, including municipal water treatment, bottled water treatment, food treatment, spa and swimming pool disinfection, bleaching and a number of industrial processes. It provides an environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative to chlorine and chlorine-based products, decomposing rapidly to oxygen and leaving no environmentally harmful or potentially carcinogenic by-products.
However, the application of ozone has been constrained by the limitations of currently available technologies for generating ozone. Clarizon's technology provides a breakthrough in cost and system simplicity that will allow ozone to be used more widely, helping to reduce pollution and reducing energy consumption.
